Description

A grape native to northern Spain. Also called Tinto Roriz. "Unico" is Spanish for “unique”, and that’s what this blend of Tempranillo and Syrah is!

An atypical blend, this wine was matured for almost two years in older French oak puncheons (450-500 Liters). We’ve blended Tempranillo with Syrah before, just never to the degree that we did with this "Unico" bottling. We chose to age this wine in oak puncheons instead of barrels for longevity in the cellars and a minimal oak influenced aromatic profile.

This wine is bursting with dark blue and black fruit aromas, purple flowers, vanilla and cedar. There is a smoky/savory aspect in this wine that is present in the palate making this full bodied expression a perfect pairing for grilled meats, bbq, and chili/stew.
