Description

A grape native to NW Italy. Dolcetto translates to the “little sweet one” and man has it found its sweet spot in One Way Vineyard! Located in central Floyd county in a relatively “cool” spot for West Texas viticulture. The soils are very unique in that they contain a higher level of clay than what is typically seen in this area. These conditions contribute to a longer growing season and more development of flavor in the grapes.

With a hot growing season that shortened the time frame for most west Texas growers. We harvested this Dolcetto almost 3 weeks earlier than normal! We decided to bottle this wine early in order to preserve the dark black fruit and purple floral aromatics of this wine.
