Grüner Veltliner is a white grape best known in Austria, and, to a lesser extent, is also grown on a small scale in regions throughout North America. Plantings of this variety in Texas are scarce, which makes finding a varietal wine from this aromatic grape a rare occurrence.
Aiming to make a style that aligns better with our climate, we harvested for full ripeness and planned a long, cold fermentation to showcase pronounced aromasof stone fruit, with ripe fruit flavors and a rich, full mouthfeel that are balanced byample acidity with fruity, yet complex aromatics and flavors.
