Beaujolais Nouveau Day is a French holiday that takes place on the third Thursday of November every year. This year, we decided to create our own "nouveau" wine at Llano Estacado with the Vino Novello.
Owing to its proximity to Thanksgiving and the holidays, we hope that many Texans choose this garnet red wine with a refreshing, fruity taste as an accompaniment to their holiday meal. The wine is fermented for only a few weeks using the purple-colored Dolcetto grape grown at the One Way Vineyard in the Texas High Plains. This is what makes it a ‘nouveau’ or ‘Vino Novello,’ a wine harvested and for sale in the same year.
With a deep lavender color, fresh black currant aromas, and layered fruit flavors – a great food wine!
