Historically grown since the 13th century in fog-shrouded hills of the Piedmont region of Italy, the Nebbiolo grape has started a new adventure here on the Texas High Plains. Sourced solely from young vines and made using traditional techniques, we present this exclusive varietal release of Nebbiolo. Very approachable in its youth, this wine is loaded with character and will gain complexity with bottle age. Aromas and flavors of tart red berries mixed with mushroom, flowers, warm spice, and toasty oak radiate from this wine. Firm tannins and pronounced acidity make this an ideal wine for fatty foods and rich cheeses, such as rice dishes like risotto, and wild game.
